Next tonight, the fiery rescue on a California freeway. A crash playing out right before a photographer's rolling camera. He drops it and runs to help. Here's ABC's kayna Whitworth. Reporter: A terrifying new year's crash caught on camera by the man who would end up saving that driver's life. Oh, . That's when I put my video camera down, grabbed my fire exi think the wisher -- Reporter: He spots this stalled vehicle in the middle of a busy California highway with no caution lights. The car burst into flames trapping the man inside. He strings into action. I just saw flames and smoke, and I went back in and pulled his shoulder belt down and ripped him out. Reporter: He gets the driver out of harm's way just in time. Less than five seconds to live, and I managed to get him out. Reporter: There were no other passengers in the vehicle. The man was rushed to the hospital with minor injuries. I couldn't have lived with myself if I didn't try and get him out. Reporter: The man he saved is expected to survive.
