The hunt is on in a case of hit and run. It didn't happen on a highway. It happened on a ski slope in Colorado. The 8-year-old boy is in a cast. The authorities want to know who is responsible. Here's ABC's Linzie Janis with the tape. Reporter: Watch as this skier mows down 8-year-old Jason lee and keeps going. Joseph was celebrating his birthday at Colorado's Eldora mountain when the skier comes from behind and cuts him off. He let's my son lay there. Reporter: The whole thing caught on camera by Joseph's mother. I couldn't sleep for days. I am thinking just a little kid and why -- see how he's doing? Reporter: This x-ray show's Joseph's broken leg. Doctors say he may need surgery and his parents want to track down skier who may or may not have realized he or she hit Joseph. Colorado law requires all skiers involved in a collision to stop in a scene, render aid, and give his or her name. And current address. All violations are punishable by a fine. Joseph's parents say a call to the resort asking for help finding the skier went unanswered but tonight after calls from ABC news Eldora mountain says it is helping the family. Local police looking into the incident, too. As far as Joseph is concerned, there's one thing he wants more than anything. Say sorry to me. Reporter: Linzie Janis, ABC news, New York.
