Transcript for Two planes crash within minutes of each other
Time now for our "Index." And two deadly plane crashes happening within minutes of each in Mansfield, Massachusetts, a single-engine Cessna crashing on the tarmac, catching fire and killing both people on board. And in central Florida, a twin-engine c-plane plunging through the roof and into one of the bedrooms, leaking fuel, but pinning a 17-year-old girl against the wall, incredibly she survived and her family was able to get out. One of the pilots, though, was killed. We're also following that major highway inferno, a tanker truck hauling 8,000 gallons of fuel, struck on the interstate by a swerving car. The tanker flipping over, spilling fuel on the highway. And shutting down traffic for hours. Both drivers were taken to the the hospital for their injuries. Troopers saying drowsy driving may have caused that crash. Ck on a jailhouse nurse in Ohio. Surveillance shows an inmate grabbing that nurse around the head on the neck, officers jumping in to help. Prisoners running back to their cell. The inmate was mad because she wouldn't prescribe him sleeping pills. A woman dangling from a high-rise apartment building. Smoke and flames pouring from that eighth floor window. Firefighters rushing into that blaze, pulling her to safety. Improper use of an electric heat was said to spark that fire. Tonight that woman is in stable condition.
