We're going to turn now not other fast-moving story tonight, the wildfires in colorado. Hard to believe, but there's another fire raging tonight. This time a popular american vacation town in its path. We showed you that image, a giant wall of smoke and fire moving in. What a sight. Today it's not just the fires, it's the flooding. Evacuations under way north of the border and neal karlinsky on all of it, beginning with the new pictures from colorado this evening. Reporter: Tonight, the 400 people who live in the popular colorado tourist town of south fork have been chased out by a raging wildfire. And residents fear the worst. You can see what appears to be a glow. It's got us pretty concerned. Reporter: The jet stream, running unusually far south this spring, is causing all kinds of problems. 24 fires scorching the hot, dry west, and severe weather flooding the midwest. In starbuck, minnesota overnight, lightning lit up the night sky and the rainfall was ening. Severe flooding just across the border in calgary has turned into a nightmare for nearly 100,000 residents r. The entire downtown forced to evacuate. One hoom could be seen washing under a bridge.
