Next to the hostage standoff and gunfight in Phoenix. Police responding to a 911 call, two women held inside a home at gunpoint. After hours of negotiation, the suspect opening fire. The two victims shot or injured. Here's Marci Gonzalez. Reporter: Tonight, police on the scene of a six-hour hostage standoff. Leaving several people injured, including two police officers. I can just tell you, it was chaotic. Reporter: The 911 calls coming in around 9:00 P.M. Saturday night with reports of a man holding two women at gunpoint inside a home. The call was of shots being fired, and people inside the residence that were not being allowed to leave. And there was concern for their safety. Reporter: S.W.A.T. Teams surrounding the home. Officers negotiating for hours before they say it erupted into chaos. Both hostages shot. As well as a police officer bitten by a police k9. We're trying to make sure we're saving people's lives. Things happen. Reporter: We're learning the suspect died from his injuries. We're told the hostages and officers are expected to recover. Marci, thank you.
