Now to that breaking news overseas. A suspected arguenist setting off a deadly fire rat an animation studio in Kyoto killing at least a dozen people. ABC's Ian Pannell has the very latest for us. Good morning, Ian. Reporter: Good morning, Amy. That's right. Horrific scenes in Japan's ancient capital Kyoto as this blaze leaves at east 23 people confirmed or presumed dead. According to the authorities a man screaming you die burst into the studios spreading some kind of liquid accelerant early Thursday morning setting the three-story building ablaze. Fire department officials say 36 others have been injured, some of them critically. They found more than ten people dead on the top floor alone. Some of them collapsed on the stairs leading to the roof. The man suspected of starting the fire is reported to be among those injured in hospital and, of course, he's been arrested. Not clear though if he worked at the studios or had any connection to anyone there but the firm does make a number of anime films popular in Japan and this morning the Japanese prime minister said the incident is too appalling for words.
