She writes in a new book former secretary of state Rex tillerson and former chief of staff John Kelly tried to enlist her to resist president trump in order to, quote, save the country, an offer she refused and Terry Moran has the details. In her memoir out this week Nikki Haley takes on former secretary of state Rex tillerson and former white house chief of staff John Kelly claiming the two men undermined and ignored president trump from inside the white house. According to excerpts released by "The Washington post" Haley writes Kelly and tillerson confided in me that when they were resisting the president they weren't being insubordinate, they were trying to save the country. It was their decision, not the president's, that were in the best interests of America. The president didn't know what he was doing, she said of the men's views. According to the post Haley recounts that tillerson told her people would die if trump was unchecked but she refused to join their effort. They shouldn't have asked me to join them on their sidebar plan.
