Joining us on set right now is former new York city police commissioner Ray Kelly Marie thanks so much for joining us this afternoon later repudiate it. We have heard so much that since being decision not to indict was made the possibility of protests throughout the city. Logistically now what is happening now with the department to get ready for. To make sure that there is no violence happens from Pacific time. Well you have to remember that the NYPD is a big experience please parliament panel demonstrations. All the time obviously. There's information that's coming into the department in May be from social media maybe from the nearest self loathing and other sources so. They're trying to gather information and sort of determine where the demonstrations made they take cause. Back to the cases are specifically so much has been made of the use of the choke hold in this case. You'll ever department is seen as you know about what the policy is and what should not be what did you make of its use in this case. All I know I'm not going to have characterizes the grand jury had an opportunity to look at it proved for months. And as the district attorney put out the music at 38 witnesses so the grand jury found no true bill or not I'm not going to. The question that this is a tragedy you know young man lost his life is someone says and no no winners here. And now we just hope does do whatever the administration take place that. Are nonviolent garden you know done with people with a cool let's. So what what should the department we're doing now moving forward. Two tried to reach out to the community trying to break we didn't community's trust here. Well department has. A lot of strong relationships no question about it through his community affairs bureau school's. You know local officers freezing commanders so. And each relationship is generally good they'll be an investigation and department but you know to see whether or not these regulations are. Or violated there was a federal investigation that's ongoing but obviously they'll be a civil suit heroes as well so is Phil Watson things going forward. If the department was to choose to do more in this case what will be the things that they could do. I'm not sure redeeming. I understand that there's no who can get reprimanded her basic little some states are officers always are leaving to embarrass an apartment oh I'm innocent and unload their to have avail. There is a trial but I'm process there is a trial commissioner it will be presented before the trial pro commissioner. And is all of those series of determinations. That. Could lead to some serious and consequences perhaps even termination we've heard so much robotic cameras obvious from the NYPD gonna start using them very soon. Do you think it would mean a difference here. I don't know. Motive you know party cameras or something out I'm not certain other implement and you know where's the information kept who has access to it. There's still a lot of questions about them the body cameras in the U should be tested. But not fully adopted until we have a chance to see the effect The Who aren't commission and we really appreciate and thank you talk with the kids are I thank.
