Biden just 12 days from taking office. Today saying again, president trump is not fit to serve. Leaving talk of impeachment, though, to congress. And what about vice president Mike pence, who condemned the mob along before the president did? Will he be at the inauguration? Here's Mary Bruce. Reporter: With calls to impeach president trump growing, President-Elect Joe Biden today did not hold back, calling trump unworthy of the office and an embarrassment. I've been saying for now well over a year, he is not fit to serve. He is not fit to serve. He's one of the most incompetent presidents in the history of the United States of America. And so the idea that I think he shouldn't be out of office yesterday is not the issue. Reporter: And he had harsh words, too, for the president's supporters who stormed the capitol. They're a bunch of thugs, insurrectionists, white supremacists, anti-semites. And they're terrorists, domestic terrorists, and that will be a judgment for the -- the justice department to make as to what the charges should be. The difference here is this had the active encouragement of a sitting president of the United States. Reporter: Biden making it clear he thinks trump bears responsibility for inciting the chaos, but instead of focusing on trump's fate, he says he's focused on the challenges ahead and hitting the ground running. And on the news the president won't be at the inauguration, the President-Elect said this. One of the few things he and I ever agreed on. It's a good thing him not showing up. President trump says he will not attend but a lot of focus on Mike pence who condemned the rioters long before the president did. The President-Elect with harsh words for the rioters. He was then applauded by Democrats and Republicans in that senate chamber be. Any word yet tonight, will he be at the inauguration? Reporter: The President-Elect says he's welcome andould be honored to have him there. But tonight we're told the vice president hasn't decided yet whether or not he'll attend. David?
