We'll turn to politics now, the race for the 2016 republican nomination kicking into gear right now with a major forum in Iowa. A friendly summit between Jeb bush and Mitt Romney in Utah and another major candidate about to throw his hat into the ring. Jon Karl has that exclusive news from Washington. Good morning, Jon. Reporter: Good morning, George. ABC news has learned that Florida senator Marco Rubio has started taking concrete steps towards launching a presidential campaign. As one of Rubio's top advisers tells me, quote, he told us to proceed as if he is running for president. I am told Rubio has hired a top republican fund-raiser to serve as the finance director of a presidential campaign. He plans a big fund-raising swing through California. Will miss votes in the senate next week followed by atrip to all the early primary state, Florida, Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and, of course, Iowa. So, George, there had been a lot of speculation that Rubio would not run because of Jeb bush taking steps towards his own campaign but it sure looks like Rubio is going no matter what Jeb bush does. At least not yet. Not dropping out yet. About Jeb bush, we saw that remarkable meeting yesterday between Jeb bush and Mitt Romney out in Utah but it doesn't appear they reached any kind of accommodation or deal or anything like that. Reporter: Not at all. This he had a meeting in Utah but coming out of that meeting, no move away from what Mitt Romney had been telling people before the meeting which is his decision on running for president will have nothing to do with what Jeb does.
