Reporter: Tonight, controversial county clerk Kim Davis out of jail, greeting throngs of supporters. I just want to give god the glory. He is -- his people have rallied and you are a strong people. Reporter: Davis jailed Thursday, held in contempt of court for refusing to issue same sex couples marriage licenses, citing religious objections. Under whose authority are you not issuing licenses? Under god's authority. Reporter: With Davis behind bars, her deputy clerks began issuing marriage licenses to all couples. It feels like I'm a person. Reporter: But davdavis' supporters stood by her. Hundreds gathering outside of the jail. Rallied by gop presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee. We do not want to see this country become the smoldering remains of what once was a great republic.
