We're just two weeks away from the new "Star wars" movie hitting theaters, the rise of Skywalker," the final chapter in the saga and Adrienne Bankert, she got a chance to go one-on-one with one of its star, a man who plays kylo ren, Mr. Adam driver. Hey, Adrienne. It was very exciting. Adam driver, I got to tell you is a force playing one of the coolest villains in the galaxy. He opened up about the cast behind the scenes antics and some of the gossip behind his character. He's the man behind the mask. Adam driver is kylo ren. When you get into this character and I've heard rumor you stay in this character. I mean, I think it's not all one thing. These movies are very much action adventure but in between takes they're pure comedy. Tell me about the comedy. I want to know all about it. It's like stormtroopers walking into walls because they can't see where they're going or pulling out the lightsaber and it's not working which doesn't really sound funny. In the moment it's hilarious. You ever pull any pranks on anybody on set to lighten the mood. I like to scare people. But not really on set but off set. It's good to hide in people's, you know, personal things and like their closet. I don't do that. You mean like you might jump out from behind the craft services table. Yeah, I like to scare people. Actually we had a ping-pong table for behind the -- I don't think I said this actually on base camp and we really got into it but it got to be where maybe we'll play in between takes and it got so bad that, you know, you're trying to do a scene and all you hear in the backgroup is people playing so we had to stop that. Reporter: As we await the release of "The rise of Skywalker" there's buzz around driver's other projects, "The report." If the times had your report we would print it tomorrow. If it's going to come out it'll come out the right way. Reporter: And "Marriage story". Very competitive. What's this? Who owns baltic avenue? Reporter: The former marine says it was the military that gave him the fearless confidence to pursue acting. I felt like if it didn't work out then I -- given my military training -- could live in the street or central park or in the mountains with nothing. Metropolitan area. There isn't a bathroom you couldn't take a shower in. Reporter: But of course I had to ask about one particular theory about episode IX. Have you heard the fan rumble lz that kylo ren will be redeemed back to his Ben solo-like heart. I feel the conflict in you. It's tearing you apart. What does he need to be repeopled for? Oh, spoken like a true villain. Feels like he's in the right so what is there to be redeemed All right. J.J. Abrams said he's never seen a villain like Adam's character and received praise from big names. I got to give him applause for his foundation arts in the armed forces and brings theaters to those in the military and he and his wife founded that and those passionate about "Star wars," "The rise of Skywalker" hits theaters December 20th. Be honest with you, I don't know anybody who is not looking forward to it. We really are. We cannot wait for that.
