here in times square. Our cameraman adam's sister and friends visiting. We're back with the jaw-dropping headlines from actress jennifer lawrence. Why is she saying that hollywood feels she's too fat? Abc's linsey davis has the story. Reporter: Women want to look like her. And men, well, they just want her. And yet, jennifer lawrence tells "elle" magazine, in hollywood, I'm obese. I'm considered a fat actress. But just take a look at the 22-year-old oscar-nominated actress on the cover of "elle." Is this the new definition of fat? In hollywood, the standards are for women to be thin. But she's on the top of every director's list right now. Reporter: The star of this year's box office hit "the hunger games" says while she does have to work out for her upcoming role, she says, I eat like a caveman. I'll be the only actress who doesn't have anorexia rumors. She goes on to tell the fashion magazine, I want to look like a woman. I don't want to look like a little boy. It's her natural beauty. Also, the fact she is strong and looks like a woman. Reporter: The notion that hollywood could possibly consider lawrence fat, wouldn't society's perception of body image has spun out of control. Exhibit "a." Victoria's secret angel posted this. Two days left until the v.S. Fashion show. All the intense pressure to be beyond skinny is part of the REASON ACTRESS melissa McCarthy told "good housekeeping" she would lose a few pounds, if she knew how. Sometimes I wish I was a size 6. And lady gaga has fired back, posting photos of herself, in her underwear, after her 25-pound weight gain made headlines. There's a premium put on how thin an actress is. And how she looks, even if that is unhealthy. Reporter: Lawrence seems comfortable in her own skin. Saying she wants her body to look fit and strong. She says her role with "the hunger games" she doesn't want little girls to say, I'm going to stop eating dinner. Pound for pound, she's aware of her weight in the industry. And really doing a good job to send a message as a role model, there's alternatives. I love that. Thanks so much, linsey. Let's get inside to george.
