Are you ready to ooh and ah? We're about to get up close and personal with some of the an ma kingdom's cuddliest cuties and newest TV stars. Here's ABC's Mara schiavocampo. Reporter: I've had my share of unusual work assignments. But this was definitely a first. We wanted to get to the bottom of why a TV series with virtually no plot and no dialogue, has become an emmy-nominated hit for animal planet with almost 1 million viewers. I had written some tough questions. But getting my interview subjects to settle down took longer than expected. These little guys are not the actual puppies in the series. But they were provided by the show, along with their puppy handlers. I wanted to ask about the usual rumors. Suspicious behavior on the set. Scandalous relations and reckless driving. But who are we kidding? They had already stolen my heart. The premise of the show is not complicated. It's look at these cute animals. You came to the right place. Too cute. Reporter: How cute? Just watch this pair. Beyond just the shear joy we get -- hey, you. We're doing an interview. Is this show just about cute animals running around? Of course, it's about cuteness. It's about escapism. But I think it is about a celebration of life. Seeing the animals are just entering the world. Reporter: And there's some wonderment to it to see how they see the world and how they grow and develop. Is that part of what animal planet wanted to do with this? What animal planet wanted to do with "Too cute" is give people a glimpse into the first eight weeks of a baby animal's life. It's amazing to see the personalities that the animals have. A hedgehog or a puppy or a kitten. Reporter: After spending an hour with these guys, I didn't need anymore convincing why "Too cute" is a hit. You are very cute. For "Nightline," I'm Mara schiavocampo, in New York. "Too cute." Premiered tomorrow on animal planet.
