Finally tonight, love in the new year. And the two moms teaming up to help make it happen. It's "America strong." When Nick Doyle agreed to accompany his mom to an Ohio airport, he had no idea he was about to reunite with the love of his life. The girlfriend gabby, who he hasn't seen in weeks. The couple has down syndrome. They met at a conference a few months earlier, when he asked her to dance. When he put his arm around me, it felt like I was a princess. Reporter: Sparks flu that first night. But there was one mistake. He left the conference, forgot to get her contact information. I said it would be like Cinderella, if he wants to find you, he will find you. And he did. Reporter: The couple stayed in touch, and the relationship grew. He's adorable, and I love when he sends me gifts and presents. They decided they would be exclusive boyfriend and girlfriend at the conference in Pittsburgh in June. Yup, it's true. Reporter: Time and distance are hard for any couple. Nick lives in Ohio, and gabby in North Carolina. So their mothers decided to play cupid. I called Lisa, she said come to Ohio, let's surprise them. Reporter: And here's that moment again. I was surprised and I was shocked. And I was happy. Oh, my god. Oh! I ran into his arms. I was really happy to see him. Reporter: Nick and gabby, excited about their future together. Seeing gabby look at him and love him as deeply as she does, it brings tears to my eyes. Nick and gabby have two amazing mothers. We thank them for sharing their story. Thank you for watching. I'm Tom llamas in New York. "Gma" first thing in the morning. David Muir right back here tomorrow night. Have a great evening. Good night.
