Reporter: These were some of the finales being recorded that they're still adding up in a place where, for the last many years, few Democrats ever win statewide election. But tonight, Joe Biden is holding on to a small lead over the president, trying to pull off a victory here that even Barack Obama was unable to achieve. The vote by mail was huge, and there are a lot of thank yous from Democrats for Stacy Abrams, who after running for governor, turned her attention to fighting for voter suppression. The demographic areas leading the shift, larger and more black D hispanic than it was just a few years ago. Steve joins us now from Atlanta. As we reported, this is likely headed to a recount. When should we expect final numbers there? I know I ask this every night. Hard to answ secondly, the Democrats gaining ground overnight, but also in the senate races there. It looks like both Georgia se races could head to a runoff? Reporter: That's right, David. On the final numbers the answer is a little bit messy. The sec of state says he hopes to have more final numbers by tomorrow, but this is a seriously close race where every vote counts, and for example, there are 8,400 military and overseas ballots that are possible. We don't know how many made the deadline. Could be zero, could be 8,000. We just don't know. As far as the senate, those two races are headed to a runoff, that will be in January.
