For ABC live I'm hunter signs in Columbus Wisconsin where these barricades can be seen blocking several roads in this community and it's all due to major flooding happening right now. This is the crawfish river behind me it is overflowed its banks this water is now flooding several homes river road here is a living up to its name tonight. Parts of this road are now blocked off with water on both sides all day we've seen firefighters go door to door. Asking people to voluntarily evacuate their homes some people have taken up. Those first responders on their offered they have been evacuated to higher ground by the use of a rescue vehicle. And a school bus other people who are still. Deciding to stay in their homes have been told if it gets worse there may come a time where they can not safely get out. Let's show you these homes that are taking on water here tonight firefighters tell me there at least ten homes that are being flooded an impact did. We have also seen firefighters have to rescue people from their homes and cars including one woman. Who was taken by an inflatable boat thankfully she is doing okay but this is this seen across southern Wisconsin as the governor declares a state of emergency. For all of this flooding were seen.
